Starting out Cycling

Taycoasters Social Cycle Rides
Taycoasters Social Cycle Rides
Beginning in spring, we will be offering a series of guided social cycling rides on Saturdays and Sundays.
These community cycle rides are part of the Cycling UK Big Bike Revival project to help people who want to get out more on their bikes and build confidence.
The rides will begin in the North Fife area so we can as a group use cycle paths and minor roads to enjoy a trip that will include a cafe stop and plenty of chat.
Details of these group rides will be posted on this website soon. Also details will be posted on the Facebook Cycle North Fife page.
Everyone is very welcome - anyone under 18 must be accompanied by an adult who is responsible for them. The rides will be at steady pace, mainly on flat roads and be a short distance that should be a gentle challenge to help build up fitness over the spring and summer.

Cyclestart is for people would would like to take up cycling or return to it after a gap.
There are centres across Fife. At Tay Coast we organise short, sociable rides (there’s usually a tea stop), led by two trained and qualified ride leaders. Our rides start in either Newport or Tayport. We don’t do intensive training, but we will check your bike for roadworthiness and give you guidance on safe and efficient riding techniques.
For more information call or text Mark on 07598 363 809. They also have a facebook page.

Cyclestart is sponsored by Fife Council.”
